Incredible India – reminiscing and resolution

It’s been over three years now since I came back from India after doing my teacher training in Mcleodganj nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. It really was one of the most brilliant things I’ve ever done. Exhausting at times, long hours sitting in the floor learning anatomy, philosophy, mantra, pranayama, medition and many other things (one of our lovely professor’s favourite sayings) 😀 I learnt so much about myself and my body, about Yoga and the history and culture of India.  I also learnt a lot from my peers who came from all over the world, all different ages and cultures.  It’s interesting how much there is to be learned from spending time with a group of people, just even the act of being together over time, discovering our patterns, strengths and weakness.

Looing back over some old pictures of my yoga teacher training makes me want to travel back to India soon to open out into the unknown again. Something I love about yoga it that it really is a never ending process of discovering ways to feel more comfortable and at ease in the body and mind, meet amazing folk and immerse in amazingly different cultures. Yoga really is the best, most fun and interesting travelling companion there is!
